Other advise: Do not salt your
freshwater fish as you will kill them by shutting down the kidneys.
You do not drink saltwater, and your fish should not either.
This is bad news folks, be careful. Salt is for brakish or
saltwater fish only... not freshwater fish. You would not
drink saltwater would you? No don't be a fool. You will
kill your fish by adding salt to your aquarium or koi pond.
This is bad advise given by a doctor of fish diseases that failed in
this industry. He did this purposely to kill your fish,
because the salt will take a few months to do them in. Be
smart and listen to us... we will fix your fish problems guaranteed.
Stay out of the chatrooms and away from the idiots. I had a
great fish business going until the Northridge quake in 1998
completely destroyed my facility and breeding operation. I was
breeding african cichlids and had thousands of dollars invested.
It was destroyed overnight, and since then we have moved to Arizona
and started over again. I never took the time to re-establish
my breeding operations, but rather... went into the pathology of
fishes instead. I wanted to help save our customers fishes,
and retire from the breeding operation.
DO NOT SALT YOUR FISH, SALT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR FRESHWATER FISH
OF ANY KIND. DO THIS AND YOUR FISH WILL DIE. NO LIES,
AND NO MONEY MADE OFF OF THIS ADVISE. BE SMART, FRESHWATER
FISH NEED FRESHWATER PERIOD. START DRINKING SALTWATER IF YOU
DO NOT BELEIVE ME. I HAVE RESCUED MANY KOI PONDS AND OWNERS
THAT DID NOT BELIEVE ME. IT IS YOUR POND AND YOUR CHOICE.
BE SMART AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ALTHOUGH THOUSANDS WILL TELL
YOU TO USE SALT. MY ADVISE TO THEM IS GROW A BRAIN.
THESE ARE FRESHWATER FISH PERIOD AND IF YOU WANT TO SALT DO NOT CALL
US AND COMPLAIN ABOUT DYING FISH, THAT IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN,
GUARANTEED. BE SMART, NOT FOOLISH.
SALT IS
FOR POPCORN, NOT FISH. DON'T BE FOOLISH. AND BTW, INJECTIONS
ARE NOT FOR COLD BLOODED FISH EITHER. FISH DO NOT HAVE
CAPILLARIES THAT WILL ABSORB THE INJECTIBLES LIKE A MAMMAL WILL.
A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. DONT' BE A FOOL. I HAVE BEEN A
DIABETIC ALL MY LIFE AND KNOW HOW INJECTIBLES WORK. I AM
AGAINST THIS PRACTICE AND THINK FOOLS WILL CONTINUE TO DO THIS.
ANTIBIOTICS IN THE FOOD WILL SAVE THE FISH, NOT NEEDLES.
THEY DO NOT TEACH FISH PATHOLOGY IN VETERINARY SCHOOL. IT
IS A PRIVATE STUDY AND A MARINE PATHOLOGIST HAS A BETTER IDEA OF
WHAT IS GOING ON. VETERINARIAN = STUDY OF MAMMALS NOT FISHES.
MARINE BIOLOGY = THE STUDY OF FISHES. EJ could not save a fish if
his life depended on it. He has ruined this industry due to
his lack of knowledge and about fish diseases/pathology in general.
The industry was pretty good until he showed up in the late 1980's
and started blowing things out of proportion. Inexperience and
lack of knowledge of using antibiotics on fishes. Antibiotics
do not work on fish in cold temperatures. He found that out
quickly. Killed his fish and started the salting rumor.
